I come up with interesting plane crap, err things, but if it has nothing to do with racing or cars, i'm reluctant to post it here. Is there a source on that blogs needs, wants, content desires, rules, or authorship requests?

Paul Thompson - @FlyingPhotog runs it, I believe

Personally, I'd love an Aerolopnik version of Oppo, but I don't know how active it would be

Don't forget about Planelopnik . That was the first aviation sub blog, and started out as a place to collect plane posts on Oppo. The FP authors still tag their plane posts to it. With the advent of Flight Club and Foxtrot Alpha, it's getting less traffic. But I and many other plane nuts still tag to it.

Flight Club is one of the new Jalopnik sub-blogs run by paid staff, much like Truck Yeah and Foxtrot Alpha. In other words it's not like Oppo where you can request authorship privileges. You might be able to get a plane-related story shared to Flight Club, but authorship is for paid contributors only.
There is, however, Planelopnik. ttyymmnn linked to the Planelopnik tag, but there is now also a new group sub-blog with the same name. Planelopnik runs in a similar way as it does in Oppo. Request authorship and you will likely get it. Send a message to ShiftsAndGiggles or Skyfire77. They should hook you up.

I started Planelopnik back when everyone had a sub blog for their sub blog about a sub blog. It doesn't really get used much, but I guess I could try to promote it.

I though the first rule of flight club was you don't talk about flight club?
